Location
It is located in an ancient neighbourhood named Borgo San Leonardo, within walking distance of 15th century Piazza Pontida. Formerly known as Piazza della Legna, it has been ever since the Middle Ages, and still is, used as the proper site for all kind of commercial activities in the Città Bassa. From here you can reach on foot or by bus most of the town monuments, the Città Alta, the railway station and the shuttle stop for transfer service to the airport.

Building
The building, as it appears, is a 19th century merchant house, typical of the ancient commercial area, with shops on the ground floor and dwelling quarters on the three upper storeys. An entrance hall leads to a courtyard and a small inner garden, over which the lodging looks out. Despite its central location, San Lunardo offers an enjoyably quiet and peaceful accommodation. It is so arranged as to ensure guests the utmost liberty and independence and has a lovely balcony rich in flowering plants. It is furnished with period pieces, and decorated in very good taste and with the greatest care for details. Breakfast is catered for to meet the guests' requirements and is served in a hall with a fireplace and a wooden beam ceiling.

A newly refurbished double room, with wooden beam ceiling and independent entrance through a stone staircase.Very bright and quiet, it is provided with all comforts of home. The room has access to a separate small single room with a third bed.
Park/Garden
The house has a small inner garden, a delightful quiet green recess in the historic city centre.
How to get there
At about 1 km from the railway station, where a shuttle service offers transfers to and from Orio al Serio airport.
On foot. Go along viale Papa Giovanni to Porta Nuova, then turn left into via Zambonate; at the end of the street turn left again into via San Bernardino. Number 24 is at about 50 m ahead.
By car. Leave the A4 motorway at the Bergamo exit and follow the road to the second traffic lights (railway subway), then turn left; at the traffic lights turn right; after 150 m take the second street on the right (via San Bernardino) and drive just about its end.
