Location

Very conveniently situated, a few steps from both the Accademia Carrara Art Gallery and the Gallery of Modern Art, from the Venetian walls and the Upper Town, from St. Augustine's park and Suardi park . It is also just a few minutes from the city centre and the bus stop to the train station and the airport.

Building

The building is a neoclassical palace, the first residential project carried out in town by Ferdinand Crivelli, in 1837. It is characterised by four Ionic columns. In the interior, a staircase with two opposed ramps leads up to the main floor with the concert hall that occupies the height of two storeys and features a Venetian mosaic floor, stuccoes and a large mythological fresco. The bedrooms in the apartment destined to receive our guests have frescoed ceilings and are decorated with the coat of arms of the Stampa family that bought the palacein 1889 and whose descendants still inhabit it today.

Rooms

Two frescoed rooms, furnished with both antique and contemporary pieces. One has a double bed and a large bathroom with tub and shower, the other has twin beds and a bathroom with shower. Hairdryers are provided. At guests' disposal there are modern kitchen facilities, a lounge and a large dining room where, upon request, we can organize lunches or dinners (for a maximum of 30 people). The entire apartment has been recently restored by the owner who takes an interest in decoration.

Park/Garden

All the rooms overlook a large tranquil old garden. In just a few minutes you can reach two city parks and the bastions of the Venetian walls.

How to get there

From the airport there are buses to Città Alta which stop on Viale Vittorio Emanuele near Palazzo Stampa (we are at no. 71).

From the train station take bus line 1 with a stop at approximately 100 m from the palace.

By car: follow the signs to the Upper Town (Città Alta) and drive along Viale Vittorio Emanuele in the direction of St. Augustine's gate. No.71 is on the right.
