Location

Located in a lively historical neighbourhood in the lower part of Bergamo, it offers a very good opportunity to stay in an enchanting setting without giving up the comforts we are accustomed to. Within a walk of a few hundred meters, you can choose whether you will be surrounded by the unique atmosphere of the cobbled strees of Upper Bergamo with its museums and mediaeval monuments, or stroll unhurriedly in the city centre letting yourself be tempted by the numerous shopping opportunities. In either case you won't be deceived and you will come back to a refined home of times past. Our rates include hot drinks throughout the day,daily cleaning and all taxes. "L'Angolo del Poeta" is 5 km from Bergamo/Orio al Serio airport and 40 km from Milano and it's very conveniently connected with the airport and with Milan by public transportation (the train and the bus station are very close).

Building

It is located in an old builing of the fifteenth century.

Rooms

Our rooms have been recently restored preserving the style and taste typical of a fifteenth century builing. The antique furniture, beam ceilings, cotto or marble floors will take you back to old times, allowing you to leave the present out of the threshold. Each room is equipped with ensuite bathroom, a TV set, a minibar and a kettle. Internet connection is available. Breakfast is served in the dining-room or in your own room. Car service is available to pick you up from the station or the airport.

Park/Garden

Three beutiful parks can be found in the vicinity with chidren playgrounds.

How to get there

By car

Getting out from the airport take to the right and after 200-300 mt to the right again, following the sign "Bergamo". You will be driving along a four lane road for a short while as far as a roundabout; take the third road on the right and always straight as far as a junction with a large transit road (several lane road).Keep going straight, passed the traffic light, following the sign "city center". Straight again as far as an underpassage underneath the railroad, right after it, go right away to the right, at the end of that road you will get to a large boulevard, Viale Papa Giovanni XXIII (on the right a square with the railway station). Go across the boulevard and continue to go straight, passing the bus station on the left. After it there's a little bridge, that looks like that just on the left handside, right after to the left along via Fantoni, as far as the next traffic light, where you turn to the right, along via Angelo Mai. at the next traffic light (piazza S.Anna) you turn to the left. You are in Via Borgo Palazzo. 50 meters further on the left you find number 39.

By city bus

From Orio airport there's a very convenient connection with downtown by bus. Appr. a bus every 20-30 minutes (price for the single ride is-1,50 euros Fare "C"). You can catch bus number 1A that takes you straight to the railway station. Here you have to make a connection and with the same tickect catch bus number 5a, 5b, 7or 8, right on the right handside of the traffic light that you have in front of you, keeping the raiway station building behind you. Ask the driver to get off at Piazza Sant'Anna (second stop). From the square take the street that starts from the church: that is Bergo Palazzo. 50meters further, on the right handside you will find number 39: this is our location. In case you have difficulties, do not hesitate to call us: we will be glad to come and collect you at the railway station.
