Location
Located in the heart of the historical and artistic centre of town, Città Alta, our B&B is the ideal starting place to discover Bergamo and its region. We will be very glad to welcome and pamper you in every possible way: it is our goal to give you a personally tailored approach to our city so that you can feel like a local, a Bergamasco. Giving you personal suggestions is what we really like. Relaxing, strolling around, discovering plenty of hidden secret spots, centuries away from the bustling city is a charming way to spend time in Bergamo. Breathe in and be absorbed by the Italian way of life, sipping a cappuccino on one of the terraces on Piazza Vecchia, taking a romantic walk towards the breathtaking San Vigilio vista point, or just enjoy the slow paced life of this part of town.

Building
Our two no smoking, very attractive rooms are located in a charming and completely renovated house, still keeping the fascination of the old good things, where the family and the dog Gigia live. The oldest part can be traced back to the XVII century, and a perimeter walls were actually part of the medieval ramparts of the city. Simplicity and tastefulness distinguish the interior design, which perfectly suits the historically rich walls and vaults. In the summer our plentiful breakfast is served in the medieval courtyard, whereas in the winter it is served in a frescoed hall on which the rooms open, sometimes even with the fireplace on.
Rooms
Two bedrooms with ensuite bathroom, for single, double or triple occupancy. Each room can be offered with double bed or separate beds.
Park/Garden
Our house overlooks a beautiful inner garden, a true rarity in the city centre: this can be a quiet refuge for many of our guests, seeking peace and privacy.

By public trasport
From both Orio airport and the railway station there's a very convenient connection with the town centre by bus no 1A. Buses run every 20-30 minutes and the fare from the airport is € 1,65. The bus takes you straight to the funicular that climbs up to the old part of town with the same ticket. From the upper station, walk straight ahead along via Gombito (the main one with all the shops), pass a small square (San Pancrazio) and at the next crossing the downhill street on the right is Via San Lorenzo. Our B&B is located at number 26.
By car
From Orio Airport: getting out of the airport grounds take to the right and after about 300 m turn to the right again, following the sign "Bergamo". You will be driving along a four-lane road for a short while, then, before a roundabout, take the subway on the right, following the indication "Alle valli". You will come out on another four-lane road which you will follow until the first exit to "Bergamo Centro". You will get to another big roundabout, take the second exit on the right, always following "Bergamo Centro" and "Città Alta". At the first traffic lights, turn to the right and at the following ones, to the left. You will drive under the railway, and staight after it, turn right, following the "Città Alta" sign: they will lead you as far as a large boulevard (Viale Papa Giovanni). Follow it all the way to the upper town: it will take you to one of the gates (Sant’Agostino). Drive through it, then keep going to the right. After passing a church on the right, you will be driving along the ramparts. After approximately 200 m, you will see a crossroads in the middle of which stands a little chapel. Take to the left. You're now in Via San Lorenzo and we are located at number 26. We will give you a resident parking pass.
From the motorway: coming by the A4 motorway, either from Milan or Venice, get out at the Bergamo exit. After the toll gate, follow the white sign to the city centre (Bergamo centro), that is the third road on the right. Drive along this two-lane road as far as the first traffic lights then turn to the right, following the "Città Alta" signs: they will lead you as far as a large boulevard (Viale Papa Giovanni). Follow it all the way to the upper town: it will take you to one of the gates (Sant’Agostino). Drive through it, then keep going to the right.
